Cross Country Reflection 2020

This year I participated in the NPS Cross Country held at school on the Ngatea Domain.  I ran in the 10 year olds age group.

I am most proud of pushing my self to the most I could and I came 6ths. 

I think my effort towards our training at school was good because I was sore but I still tried to push myself all of the time.

I showed the Learning Power of Resilience by not stopping the whole time until the end.   

investigation Mahi

This week for our investigation Mahi we did nets. We had to Clue or sellotape our shape together to make a shape. I chose the cylinder. The hardest part was to hold the shape and the sellotape to put it together.  

 

Whetu challenge

Today for our Whetu challenge we had to make cartoon characters and we chose to make The Incredibles. I worked with Taylor, Michael, Hannah, Janko, Jai, Sophie, and Cohen. and we made this.

The hardest part for me was to get like the boots and pants line up together.this was mine down below.

Maths Mahi Investigation

This week for investigation Mahi we did lines of symmetry. The hardest one was the flower because there were four parts to it.

Egg Drop Challenge

Today for the Whetu Challenge we did the Egg Drop Challenge basically it is that you drop your egg from a high place.

Your egg has to be protected and it can't smash. We dropped it from the grandstand.

I worked with Oscar and Patrick, our egg did not survive it smashed into pieces.

The best part was watching most people's egg smash.

Maths mahi investigation

This is my maths Mahi investigation for this week. the hardest thing was number 4 because you had a move one not take away. 

Term 2 reflection

The new learning activity that I have enjoyed the most this term is the maths mystery because I quite like challenges and solving things. 

Something that has challenged me this term has been the Matariki jigsaw puzzle because I had to find the right information and fill it all in then after that I had to colour it in.   

The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was the newspaper tower to hold up the tennis ball somewhere. I enjoyed it because you had to work together to create a tower to hold a tennis ball up. 

The opt-in workshop I enjoyed the most was P.E. in the hall because I like running around games and playing with my friends.

An aim I have for my learning is getting better at my spelling and my takeaways in maths.
